Police Charge Wedding Planner With Fraud



Spruce Grove, Alberta – Spruce Grove / Stony Plain RCMP General Investigation Section have laid charges in the ongoing fraud investigation into Wedding planner Amy Conibear and her company  Amour Decor.  This investigation began May 27, 2011 when several victims came forward to complain that they had put down deposits for the rental of equipment for their weddings but the equipment was never provided.

61 former clients who have been effected have provided statements to police, there is at least 78 clients people that have been identified through our investigation.

Total amount of money in which former clients have paid to Amy Conibear that police could verify was approximately $45,000.00.

Amy Conibear has been charged with 73 counts of fraud in relation to the Amour Decor Fraud Investigation.
Conibear’s first court appearance with be Wednesday March 7, 2012 at 9:30 AM at the Stony Plain Provincial Court.
