Charge Laid by Edmonton City Police in Fatal Collision



Edmonton, Alberta – The Edmonton Police Service Traffic Section has completed the investigation of a fatal collision that occured just before 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011.

A 47-year-old male was operating a Victory motorcycle travelling west bound on Princess Elizabeth Avenue when an east bound Ford Fusion, on the same Avenue, was attempting to turn left on to 106 Street. The two vehicles collided in the intersection. The man on the motorcycle sustained fatal injuries.

The driver of the Ford Fusion, Gerald Andrew Lee, 41, has been charged with one count of Fail to make left turn in safety, under the Traffic Safety Act. His first court appearance is slated for April 4, 2012, at 9 a.m.
