4 Charged With Identity Theft and Credit Card Fraud

Medicine Hat, Alberta – On May 7, 2013 the Medicine Hat Police service concluded a large scale investigation into the fraudulent use of credit cards and identity theft recovering about $20,000 in fraudulently obtained property.  The investigation, completed by both the priority street crimes unit and the patrol sections of the police service, led to 105 criminal code charges being filed against four people from Calgary.

$50,000 Theft From Medicine Hat Husky Service Station, One Man Wanted

Medicine Hat, Alberta – On May 5, 2013 the Medicine Hat Police Service responded to a break and enter and theft that had occurred at the Husky Service gas station located in the 600 block of Kingsway Avenue. During the break in cash, a significant amount of cigarettes and lottery tickets were stolen, the total value of which is estimated at $50,000. There was also approximately $10,000 in damages caused to the building.

ALERT’s Medicine Hat Unit Wraps Up Two Drug Investigations, Six Charged

Medicine Hat, Alberta – Medicine Hat ALERT s Medicine Hat Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU), an integrated team of Medicine Hat Police Service (MHPS) and RCMP members, wrapped up two separate cocaine trafficking investigations with charges against six people. On May 3, CFSEU-Medicine Hat, with assistance from the Brooks RCMP, executed two search warrants at an apartment building on Cassils Road West.

Charges Laid in Medicine Hat’s Silver Buckle Stabbing

Medicine Hat, Alberta – On April 13, 2013 at approximately 2:30 AM, police responded to a disturbance in the parking lot of the Silver Buckle Inn. It was determined that a 40 year old male from Saskatchewan had been stabbed in the abdomen while he was engaged in a fight with another male.

ALERT Concludes Medicine Hat Cocaine Trafficking Investigation

On April 30, CFSEU, along with members of MHPS, concluded a drug trafficking investigation with the arrest of a 26-year-old Medicine Hat resident.

Medicine Hat Police Investigate Assault & Robbery

Medicine Hat, Alberta - On April 28, 2013 at approximately 00:30 hours, a female was walking home in the 200 block of College Avenue SE when she was confronted by an unknown group of people. The female was physically assaulted and some personal items and cash were taken. The female suffered minor injuries to her face and abdomen. Currently there are suspects in this file.

Male Pedestrian Struck on 1st. Avenue Southeast in Medicine Hat

Medicine Hat, Alberta – At approximately 1:54 PM on April 25, 2013, emergency crews were dispatched to the area of 11 Street and 1st Avenue SE in response to an incident involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival, a male was found lying in the street. The male was transported by EMS to hospital for treatment of undetermined injuries.
